Air Masses Affecting Uruguay

Uruguay is primarily influenced by maritime tropical and maritime polar air masses. Both Maritime masses help contribute to the seasonally steady humidity levels while the moister polar air creating relatively mild winters. Cold fronts typically move in from the west coast during the winters.
